waxing gibbous moon

The waning moon (appearing more than half full and growing larger), is the fourth of the eight phases of the moon. Depicts the moon as a cratered disk, mostly illuminated by gold or silver, but with a dark crescent to its left. Can be used to represent the moon, nighttime, outer space, and astronomy. Can also be used to express a sense of enchantment or eerie. Not to be confused with the waning moon, although their applications may overlap. Used as part of the Moon emoji creep memoji. Samsung's design once resembled a full moon with stars, and was previously shown as a waning moon in a night sky with stars.
