tear-off calendar

A date on a calendar. The pages on a two-day desk calendar are often described as being flipped or torn to change the date. A month and day are shown on the white squared page. The date shown is July 17. The date was first used by Apple when it debuted ICAL at MacWorld Expo in 2002. Since 2014, World Emoji Day has been celebrated on July 17, 2014, due to the emoji. Major platforms have previously used various dates on this calendar, but have also changed to July 17 in recent years to avoid confusion on World Emoji Day.
